Finally the wait for Marantz NR1506 surround sound AV Receiver is over. The latest 5.2 channel Audio/Video receiver from the renowned brand grabbed much attention since its specifications were out months back. As expected, the final specification is up to the current market standards and the price tag also looks reasonable. A/V system makers are persist in trying to bring out new models with different specifications and price bands. As expected from leaked specifications, the Marantz NR1506 comes with powerful and state-of-art technologies under-the-hood. The 5.2 Channel A/V receiver comes with 50 Watts per channel @ 8ohm, 20Hz-20kHz and THD: 0.08%. It supports all major audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. With powerful speakers plugged-in, the receiver is capable of producing superior quality sound. As we have witnessed in the past, Marantz is one good company we can trust on quality and clarity of A/V output. The NR1506 is capable of 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160) video pass-through, which is just icing on the cake.

Coming to connectivity options, the device has got 6 HDMI input ports and one HDMI out. We have seen other 4K supported models sporting just one HDCP 2.2 compliant HDMI port, the Marantz NR1506 has got 5 of HDMI ports supporting 4K pass-through. This model also has got 3 composite input, 1 composite output, Analog input, Coaxial and optical input, USB input and DLNA port. The device also got dual antenna Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to steam music files from smartphones.

The 62 year old company has done good job in aesthetics department as well. Design of this 5.2 Channel A/V Receiver looks premium with brushed hairline metalized outer cover and well placed controls. The device is light in weight and compact in size. Overall, looking at the price tag and features, the Marantz NR1506 is all set to beat the competition and attract more people.
